As of 2010 Castle Metals UK is the collective name for the Metals Group of companies.

1884 E Harding & Sons, established in 1884, has a long history of stainless steel stockholding with a rich mix of experience, inventory and technical knowledge.

1890 Our parent company A.M. Castle has been supplying speciality products in plate, sheet, bar and tube to metal users worldwide.

1969 For 40 years KKS Stainless has been supplying stainless steel bar throughout the UK to various market sectors.

1981 For almost 30 years Loks Plasma Services has specialised in stainless steel profiling, from artistic balustrades to tube plates for heat exchangers and pressure vessels.

2001 Metals UK supplies high nickel content, corrosion and heat resistant alloys in plate, sheet and bar or processed stock to over 45 countries throughout the world.

2003 Metals UK acquires Loks Plasma Services, E Harding & Sons, KKS Stainless and together with Metals UK achieves group status.

2008 A.M. Castle acquires the Metals Group, the perfect partnership to become the foremost provider of speciality metals across the globe. A.M. Castle revenue tops $1.5bn for the first time.

2009 Metals UK are awarded The Queens Award for outstanding achievement in international trade.

2010 Metals UK, Loks Plasma Services, E Harding & Sons and KKS Stainless become Castle Metals UK, starting a new chapter in the company’s history
